Spring Fling

Spring Fling & Ink

Glad you could join me for the workshops we had last week.  We had a really great time.  If you missed this fun workshop here are the great cards we made.

Inside sentiment: Life Looks Beautiful On You

This was a “Z” fold style card.  I did a version of this card a few months ago.  This one was a lovely card for your mom, your daughter or your best friend for virtually any occasion.  The card stock color is In-color Berry Burst.

I designed this card as a horizontal gift card or check holder.  This version is a graduation card, but it can be used for weddings, engagements, or, as one of my attendees, Judy used hers, a bridal shower.  If you don’t want to use it as a gift holder, the bottom flap is easily cut off.  I hand-made the silver tassel from silver cord.

Inside sentiment: Happy Birthday

Our 3rd card is a wine-themed birthday card.  We learned to color with Stampin’ Up’s new Stampin’ Blends markers.
Each color comes in a light and a dark shade and can be blended to get a multi-dimension effect. Blends can be purchased in pairs, individually or the entire set.

( may purchase any of these cards, contact me.  $5 each plus postage - PayPal only- if you wish them shipped to you)

Hope you can join me for my upcoming workshop next month.  I plan on doing a Father’s Day card and a wedding card for the summer.

Stay tuned. We will explore some special techniques to make our cards more interesting.

Spring is Here!

Can you believe that it’s spring? We have just enjoyed our "wearin’ of the green" and in a breath it’s time for Passover and Easter.

Here is one of my offerings for Easter Greetings this year.  I used an adorable little chick from last year’s Honeycomb Happiness found Spring Occasions catalog (ok, so I’m a bit slow) but I saw one like this on Pinterest originally posted on Splitcoast Stampers by  beesmom.
What is new is the coloring with Stampin’ Up’s  Stampin’Blends
 - beautiful new blend-able alcohol markers available individually, in packs of 2 or get the entire set of all 27 colors, and accented with a cute little bow made of Double Stitched Ribbon

Great News!  My dining room, where I hold my workshops, is finally back in order after a water pipe break last year.  Also, the puppy we got last year is now a year old
Ziggy Stardust

and is actually calm enough to have people over without them getting kissed to death, so I’m able to have workshops again..

Stay tuned for information about a spring workshop I am planning for next month including projects for Mother’s Day and Birthdays.

Hanukkah Blog Hop

Gift Card Holder & Greeting Card

Welcome to my blog and the  Hanukkah Blog Hop.  I hope you have had a chance to visit the other participants’ blogs as well.
My Hanukkah card this year is actually a Gift Card holder.  I have a lot of nieces and nephews that I buy Hanukkah gifts for every year and they live all over the country. Also, they’re in their teens, so they want to shop for the things they like. I found this great template that will hold the gift card and will also be a greeting as well.
I used an older Stampin’ Up stamp set,”Festive Hanukkah” and some retired Designer paper that really fit the festive mood.  The colors I used were Midnight Muse, So Saffron, Rich Razzelberry and Marina Mist on a Very Vanilla Background.  Candles were decorated with a gold pen and gold painted gems were added to the swirls

I hope your holidays are joyful, no matter which holidays you celebrate and have a really great 2018!  Thank you for stopping by.
